 Who Are We?

Lacerated One's was founded in 2005 as a “family friendly” gaming guild. A place where everyone can get together and play video games in a friendly, supportive, and positive environment. We are very relaxed and have no requirements for attendance or the formality’s that are found in many other guilds. Everybody is equal, and we strive to keep that mentality throughout our game sessions.

Over the years we have grown to offer more than an online gaming guild. Today we are a coalition of guilds, clans, squads, and groups from all types of video games. All partner guilds are equal in ranking yet serve different parts of the gaming community. Much like an Alliance, we bring together many guilds into one place for crosstalk and information sharing. some of our partner guilds only play games on phones, some are on facebook only, some enjoy other types of games and we allow for a common ground for them all to join together. We also offer training and support ranging from basic computer operations, computer maintenance, recommended software, to more advanced video game tweaks that may help those with slower computers.

Lacerated One's and partner guilds have a large library of resources available. Many books written by members on Absolute PC Basics for Beginners, Safe Email and Web surfing practices, PC Tune Up Guide, Online Shopping Guide, and much, much more can be found within our ranks.

Our weekly Publication, the “PC Gaming and Technology News”, has informative reports on what is new in the video gaming and technology fields related to video games,  helpful game reviews, pc software recommendations, and it helps members to stay informed and up to date on guild activities. The publication of the weekly newsletter has been temporarily suspended, but if you are interested in becoming a writer or having it sent to your email when it resumes please let us know at LaceratedOnes@Live.com

Lacerated One's has a ministry team that offers spiritual support for members who request it, not all member guilds have a UMT, ask the leadership of your guild for info.

 Mission Statement

Lacerated One's was first created to improve the Gamer's experience through teamwork and information sharing. Our Main Goal is to make the gaming community a nicer, safer place to make friends and chat. Lacerated One's is open to all, we hope to fill the gap in the gaming world that is too often missing. It is hoped you will find a place to find peace in the midst of the storm and have fun with people you know.

Lacerated One's goal is to be a gathering place for both Techies who can fix a stuttering or crashing PC, and the FPS Frag masters with the skills of a ninja in combat. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for believers from different cultures and backgrounds. Each of us has something to offer, God has empowered everyone with a gift and it is one of Lacerated One's Goals to help cultivate everybody's growth in the Grace and Knowledge of God as he/she understands Him.

Welcome to a place where your friends will hold your arms up when you are too tired to carry on, and the Lord God is the banner that waves over us. (EXODUS 17:11-15)

Our History In a Nutshell....

Over many years there has been a stigma painted upon gamers by the media, using tragic events like the columbine High School massacre in 1999, and the Virginia Tech Massacre in April 2007, many people have come to believe that videogames are to blame for society’s ills today. Using these violent acts committed by unstable individuals, the media has spun a threatening picture. “Violence in video games is teaching our youth to go on mass killing sprees” they say. With this common belief among the public, many religious families have shunned video games for fear. Even in today's modern age, gamers are left isolated and sometimes rejected by their families and or friends. Somehow, it has become synonymous with “murderer in training” for one to admit to playing a First Person Shooter.

Guild Inspiration

As I am a Christian, and a Gamer, I saw a need to bridge the two. My inspiration came to me one day while reading in the Bible about how Jesus reconciled us to God through His death on the Cross, 2 Corinthians 5:18, Romans 5:10. Jesus bridged the gap between God and Mankind by taking on our sin upon himself, (Isaiah 53). It was this chapter in Isaiah, that gave me the inspiration for a Christian Gamers Guild that was open to all. As Jesus ate with the tax collectors and those looked down upon in society, we will not turn away somebody who does not believe in God.

The fifth verse in Isaiah 53 is where we got our name, because he was beaten, pierced, crushed, whipped, bruised, and lacerated. V.5“….with his stripes we are healed.”KJV.  By His death, we are given life. We belong to God, Lacerated One's. Through our name, we will proclaim our allegiance to God. Through our actions, we will proclaim the good news. 2 Corinthians 5:20, Matthew 28:18-20

"Preach the gospel, and if necessary use words."

Primary Function

We all have concerns as parents as to what our children are doing online. We at Lacerated One's hope to make the online gaming world a safe place to meet new friends and cultivate lifelong friendships. The Primary function of Lacerated One's is to create a friendly environment to play games, chat, learn and grow, and meet new people who enjoy games. Lacerated One's goal is a Gaming Guild consisting mostly of Christians, and Christian friendly people. Haters are not found here, we enjoy the company of everyone, as well as atheists who do not believe at all. We wish to join hands together to make the gaming culture more child and adult friendly.

Lacerated One's tries to be a light in the darkness. In being a living example to the Gaming world we have set out to live up to higher standards than most Gaming Guilds. Our membership is encouraged by one another to live up to a higher calling, a calling from God to Love one another. Without compromise in our personal beliefs, Lacerated One's members are encouraged to strive for unity, forgiveness, and peace. Being devoted to one another in brotherly love. Placing others above ourselves is never easy, yet with the spirit of God working through us we can. (Romans 12:10, Eph 4:32, Philippians 2:3-5)

Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage are a few of the qualities we strive to build within our membership. But how often do you see someone actually live up to them? We at Lacerated One's try to live up to these standards daily through our interactions with the world and our personal relationship with God. To aid in doing this we have provided a Unit Ministry Team "UMT", that has links and Bible searches on our web site in addition to our prayer-rings and ongoing ministry to help your personal growth. We are not a church, we are Believers and nonbelievers who Game together in harmony.

Technical Support

We hope to provide some technical support to our members and others who need help maintaining their personal computer. On our Web site you can find Links to web sites to download free tools to remove adware and spyware. We offer our advice and support for those needing gaming tips or help in getting the most out of there PC. Lacerated One's does not write programs or software, we do however make recommendations based on experience for how to clean out spyware and adware. We do make recommendations for settings that may help your games run smoother, and in some cases, we can help you improve your gaming experience.

Fellowship together in team games and tournaments to improve your gaming skills (better skill=more frags) and tweaks to your computer's settings so you get the most Frames Per Second can really improve your personal skill level. In game training from one of our members can also help you understand the game mechanics that can improve your game. Although some of our members are certified Computer Technicians, we at Lacerated One's do not make any warranty or guarantee on any advice given by any member. As a Gaming Guild, we are not a professional computer repair shop, yet we can make recommendations to one outside of the ranks of Lacerated One's if requested.

We Publish a newsletter that focuses on PC Games and Technology, we call it the “PC Game and Tech News” or “PC GTN” for short. It is distributed through E-mail and published on Lacerated One's Website on a weekly basis. at this time the PCGTN has been suspended until new writers can be recruited. email us for information on how you can help at laceratedones@live.com

Unit Ministry Team

As a Christian Gaming Guild, who has a ministry to reach out to the gaming community with the love of God, we have two parts to our Guild. One part of Lacerated One's is a Unit Ministry Team. Although we as a group do not necessarily endorse any specific church or denomination, we do strongly encourage our membership to participate in their local church. It is our hope that the membership of Lacerated One's can find fellowship with other members and grow in the grace and knowledge of God as individuals.

We do not hold regular formal Bible studies, or try to indoctrinate our members to believe a certain way, we only wish to provide the tools for one to search the scriptures daily themselves (Acts 17:11). We also provide the spiritual food we all need in the form of Bible study aids, Bible searches for that hard to find verse and prayer circles for all our prayer requests. We also provide mentoring and ministers on call through our membership when available, and through off-site links. Although we do have ordained ministers within our ranks, we do not hold regular church services.

We are not a Church organization, and do not claim any status of such. We do not guarantee or warranty any Biblical advice given by any Lacerated One's members. For professional religious help we recommend seeking help with organizations outside of Lacerated One's Gaming Guild. We are a gaming guild with Christians that are encouraged to not be shy regarding their beliefs, so you will hear many aspects and angles of Christianity, Lacerated One's does not hold any one above another. Only that the Bible is the final authority in all matters, for mostly to Love one another. Philippians 2:3-5. The ground is level at the foot of the cross, so we do not look down on anyone regardless of faith or lack thereof.
