PC Gaming and Tech News
X-Motor
Racing Demo.
Developed by Exotypos, X-Moter Racing is a GT / street
racing game for the PC. There is no release date set as of yet but on the 21st
a demo was released. Now I am not one to like the racing sim type of game genre
but I must say this one has eye candy to it and realistic physics that made me
want to play longer then five minutes, and that’s an accomplishment for me in a
racing sim. I am sure the demo does no justice to the full game as in most
cases, so I have to recommend this game to any racing fan to at least try it
out. Check it out at…

Technology News.
Light
Peak Optical Cables.
Are all cable created equal? No. actually USB2 is about to
be threatened with USB3 ports, but before that happens we will see Intel
introduce a new cable for the transferring of data between portable devices
like an external hard drive or your favorate MP3 player. By 2010 Intel hopes to
ship a cable able to transfer 10 gigabits of data per second, that’s like “transferring
a Blu-ray movie from your computer to your mobile video player in 30 seconds”
now imagine that.
In the future Light Peak Cables will be able to handle 100
gigabits per second transfer speeds, wow! Now combine that with the SSD that we
saw in issue 14 transferring 6GB per second! And add to that the fact that
optic wires have been shown to work within circuit boards by Franklin and you
have reached a new level of computing power.

Pressure
sensitive Holograms.
Extreme technology news brings us holograms that you can
touch. Imaging the Steering wheel for your racing game being a hologram
displayed in front of you along with your dashboard, you control your car using
the hologram steering wheel instead of a control pad. Changing gears using the
hologram stick shifter and adjusting the music you hear with the hologram
dashboard radio. This is just a taste of the uses of the new technology created
by Japanese scientists using ultrasonic waves that create pressure when the
users hand touches the hologram. Using the technology from Nintendo’s Wii
Gaming system control sticks to track a users hand movements, scientists have
made practical use of the new technology already. An Example such as Virtual
switches at hospitals where contamination is an issue was stated. See more at

Special Book Report!
Where’s
the Now?
This is about the book, “The Power Of
Now, a guide to spiritual enlightenment” by Eckhart Tolle. That book has taken
me what seems like forever to finish due to some major changes going on in my
life during the course of the last 2 years. For those of you who know me we can
all lol. But to my point of the book, I just finished reading it through, and I
enjoyed the personal growth and spirituality that it challenges us towards.
I would highly recommend everyone to
pick it up and read how staying in the NOW can empower you to overcome the
outside enfluences that commonly are the cause of stresses and pains in peoples
lives. I was turned on to Eckhart Tolle by my father and I cannot say how grateful
I am for this inspirational piece of art. This book served to me, a daily
reminder to remain centered and focused on what is true. It helped me learn not
get caught up in undesirable behavior and drama. Check out a copy at your local
library or buy your own and share it with a friend, but do yourself a favor and
at least take a look at it for your own personal growth and see if “The Power
Of Now” has something for you.
