If I Had A Hammer

Games, Games, Games…I can’t count them all, and yet I wish I had the time to play them all. If only we could get the sun to stand still for a day like the prophet Joshua requested and was granted by the Lord (Joshua 10) then I may have enough time to play all the gems I long to play this week.

May we all have the faith that Joshua had when he sought the face of God and made such an astounding request. Sometimes we think that what we are going through is too hard for us, and thus to hard for even God to fix. We then fail to pray and bring our requests to God, and by doing so we rob ourselves of the fullness of a deep loving relationship with our creator.

We are wrong to convince ourselves that God is unable to help us. Often it is our lack of trust that hurts us the most. Lean on God and find out that He is able. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. God does not give us more then we can handle, God gives us all we need to handle what we get.

The Issue has a Readers survey and news bit on the upcoming Google Operating System. Please send your comments on the survey in word or notepad document to LaceratedOnes@Live.com

PCGTN Readers Survey

Lacerated Ones Christian Gaming Guild is conducting it first readers Survey.

Sent out yesterday was Lacerated Ones first reader’s survey. In an attempt to better serve the subscribers of the PCGTN Lacerated Ones is seeking feedback from all readers past and present. This survey is the first of its kind for Lacerated Ones and it is expected to increase readership and quality of articles in the weekly newsletter. The survey only has six questions and should only take a moment for readers to complete, but with an open format that allows unrestricted answers in free form commentary, the survey is likely to result in straightforward answers to questions such as what part of the PCGTN do you like the most?

Below is a copy of the survey in its fullness …

Lacerated Ones PCGTN reader feedback survey

We at Lacerated Ones Christian Gaming Guild are interested in making the newsletter more personal for our readers. In doing so we ask you to send us your feedback on a few topics and let us know what you would like to see in upcoming issues of the PC Gaming and Technology News.

Please complete this form and return it to LaceratedOnes@Live.com

What part of the PCGTN issues do you like most?

What portion of the PCGTN are you least likely to read?

What would you like to see covered in upcoming issues?

Do you feel once a week issues are too far apart, or to many? How often would you like to receive the PCGTN issues? (Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly?)

How do you feel about the quality of the writing in the PCGTN issues?

What changes would you like to see made, if any?

The survey may be short, but it will give the members of L1 an idea of what changes the public wants to see. After the results are received, and processed, the changes to the newsletter will be reflected in the late July issues of The PC Gaming and Technology News. You may participate by copying these questions to any document and sending your answers to the Lacerated Ones admin email at LaceratedOnes@Live.com

Software Recommendations

Our mission statement in part says…

” Technical Support

We hope to provide some technical support to our members and others who need help maintaining their personal computer. On our Web site you can find Links to web sites to download free tools to remove adware and spyware. We offer our advice and support for those needing gaming tips or help in getting the most out of their PC. Lacerated Ones does not write programs or software, we do however make recommendations based on experience for how to clean out spyware and adware. We do make recommendations for settings that may help your games run smoother, and in some cases, we can help you improve your gaming experience.

Fellowship together in team games and tournaments to improve our gaming skills (better skill=more frags) and tweaks to your computers settings so you get the most Frames per Second can really improve your personal skill level. In game training from one of our members can also help you understand the game mechanics that can improve your game. Although some of our members are certified Computer Technicians, we at Lacerated Ones do not make any warranty or guarantee on any advice given by any member. As a Gaming Guild, we are not a professional computer repair shop, yet we can make recommendations to one outside of the ranks of Lacerated Ones if requested.”

There are several software programs that Lacerated Ones recommends, the majority of these programs are free and can be downloaded without any cost to you. Some of these can be found on our public webpage, others are only available to Lacerated Ones Members in good standing. However as a treat to you, our readers, Lacerated Ones will do reviews and make recommendations here in our Newsletter. Thanks for Reading.

Calendar ver 2.43

This free utility allows you to run a calendar on your desktop so you won’t have to open your clock settings, or set up the memory hogging applications that do the same thing. Small and sweet, this program won’t “fix” any current problems with your system like most of our recommended software does, but this little gem will help you not loose RAM to other applications that just slow down your computer that we won’t name here ;)

This program will work in any Windows operating system without installing any registry entrys, just unzip and run. Version 2.44 is still in beta and has a holiday feature, it will be shared as soon as it is released to the public. PC friendly software, from Lacerated Ones.

This file is being hosted on our SugarSync File manager and will only be made available to readers for a limited time.
